Experience:
Specialized experience is experience directly related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience must be described for each grade level advertised. The specialized experience requirements for this position are:
GS-06:
Qualifying experience for GS-06 includes one year of specialized experience comparable to GS-05 which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. For this position, specialized experience is experience in the development or modification of control systems, instruments, sensors, or robotics; and using computer software in assembling and tabulating data. OR Education:
One full year of graduate education or a master's degree that is directly related to the work of the position. Related degrees may include Engineering, Computer engineering, Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Computer science, or Physics. OR A combination of education and experience GS-07:
Qualifying experience for GS-07 includes one year of specialized experience comparable to GS-06 which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. For this position, specialized experience is experience in the development or modification of control systems, sensors, instrumentation, or robotics; using software in assembling and tabulating data; and modifying instrumentation or equipment to accommodate the research project. OR Education:
One full year of graduate education or a master's degree that is directly related to the work of the position. Related degrees may include Engineering, Computer engineering, Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Computer science, or Physics. OR A combination of education and experience All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement; however, applications can be accepted from students who expect to complete qualifying education requirements within 9 months from the date of application. Applicants must verify successful completion of the required education prior to appointment. All other applicants must be available to report for duty at the time of selection. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
