Toledo, OH Toledo, OH Part-time Part-time $18 - $20 an hour $18 - $20 an hour 2 days ago 2 days ago 2 days ago Vocations Office and Events Coordinator Office of Vocations The Diocese of Toledo Office of Vocations is searching for an Office and Events Coordinator to facilitate and support the work of the Office of Vocations and the Director of Diocesan Priestly Vocations in the promotion and formation of vocations to the priesthood for the Diocese of Toledo.
The Coordinator manages the day-to-day operations of the Office of Vocations and serves as on-site coordinator of events.
This is a part-time position on-site at the Diocese of Toledo Pastoral Center, approximately 20-25 hours per week, with the potential for the successful candidate to have input on how the hours are scheduled during the workweek.
Primary responsibilities include:
Manages the regular communications and general office services of the Office of Vocations.
Serves as liaison between the Director of Vocations and the public, including interfacing with members of the clergy, seminarians, parish/diocesan personnel, and various organizations.
Schedules a high volume of appointments and makes arrangements for meetings, conferences, and travel.
Prepares documentation, including agendas, and acts as recording secretary when required.
Maintains multiple calendars.
Creates, maintains and monitors Office of Vocations website, social media presence, marketing and promotional materials, and event/participants data.
Carries out the planning and onsite coordination of annual and periodic initiatives, activities, special events and communications.
Designs and manages department budgets, including evaluating general ledger each month in order to maintain accurate and fiscally responsible spending, preparing expense reports, and processing invoice payments.
Supports all phases of the Seminarian admissions and formation process, including application, evaluation, and assignments.
Maintains large amount of confidential information.
Serves in a supportive role to seminarian candidates and families.
Candidates for the position must possess:
Associate's degree or higher in an area of study related to Office Management.
General Business, Pastoral Ministry or equivalent in experience At least three (3) years of experience in a professional office environment performing administrative duties, with event planning and financial oversight experience preferred.
Computer expertise in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Working knowledge and/or ability to manage website data and input necessary.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Must be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with the Church who has the ability to respect, promote, accommodate, and not be in conflict with the mission, moral and social teachings, doctrines, and laws of the Roman Catholic faith.
Willingness to support the promotion of vocations and commitment to the diocesan priesthood required.
Knowledge of religious/ecclesial terminology and protocol is preferred.
Available for evening/weekend meetings and travel within the 19 counties of the Diocese of Toledo.
