Sports Medicine physician needed in NW Ohio. Incredible practice opportunity located near Toledo. This Northwestern Ohio practice is seeking a Sports Medicine provider to join its team. Hospital employed position in which the provider will be joining an experienced team . Easy access to Columbus and Toledo metro for events and airports. Join their Orthopedic and Sports Medicine practice. Opening January 2025, brand new musculoskeletal facility.
Practice details include:

  • Residency or fellowship in sports medicine
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions
  • Treat wide range of muscular and skeletal injuries
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals
  • Diagnose partial or total fractures, sprains and concussions
  • Conduct biomechanical examinations of patients, treatment plans, readiness for competition
  • Provide common regenerative therapies, nonsurgical treatments, injections, diagnostic ultrasound
  • Assess if injuries require medication, physical therapy or a combination of both
  • Order and interpret results from laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging
  • Develop and supervise rehabilitation programs and medication management
  • Identify risk factors for injuries
  • Educate patients on injury management and prevention
  • Act as team physician for area athletic programs
  • Integrated EMR with Cerner throughout health system
