Business Unit Leader Job

The Business Unit Leader is responsible for managing multiple small work teams in a fast-paced, high-volume unionized manufacturing environment. The Business Unit leader will coordinate all activities to achieve business metrics and implement World Class Manufacturing (WCM) processes in coordination with other WCM Plant Pillar Champions. The chosen individual will utilize World Class Manufacturing (WCM) tools to drive productivity improvement and continuous improvement through projects.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum 5 years supervisory production experience in manufacturing environment
Demonstrated ability to coach/mentor employee team members
Proficient in all 2010 MS Office products, excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills required
Must be able to work any shift
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree or Bachelor's degree in technical field or engineering
Previous experience working in union environment
Effective problem-solving skills
Self-directed and motivated
Strong background in LEAN manufacturing system
Ability to teach and coach
Previous paint experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
