Job Title: Manager, Information Systems Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Position Summary The IS Managers role is to ensure the efficient and effective use of information systems in support of the business objectives of the organization. The IS Manager will plan, coordinate, direct and design the IS activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IS function. The IS Manager will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. The IS Manager will also define and implement IS policies, procedures and best practices. The IS Manager will also manage the Sr. Network Engineer and other positions as developed.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Experience: The position requires:
Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related area of study.
Minimum of 12 years of IS experience with at least 5 years of successful experience leading the IT function in a growing multi-plant manufacturing environment of a comparable sized (or larger) entity.
Proven experience supervising direct reports and successfully interacting with all levels of an organization.
Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications, networked, cloud-based and PC operating systems.
Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols and standards.
Extensive application support experience.
Proven experience in IS infrastructure planning, development and deployment.
Strong understanding of project management principles.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products as required
Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
Proven analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a deadline oriented environment.
Exceptional customer service orientation. Extensive experience working in a rapidly growing, team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Physical Requirements of the job: The position requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, such as multi-line phone system, fax, copier, postage machine, etc. and normally requires the physical demands of sitting, sometimes for extended periods of time, standing, walking, bending, occasionally lifting up to XX lb, working on a computer, sometimes for extended periods of time or performing other work requiring low to moderate physical exertion, speaking clearly, especially when using the telephone, hearing and adequate vision on a regular basis to perform the job requirements.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
